Caernarfon is a town and port located in the county of Gwynedd, in Wales. It lies on the East banks of the Menai Straits on the A487 road. The town is situated about eight and a half miles (14km) from Bangor city, and is also near Snowdonia. Caernarfon has 4 primary schools, Ysgol Maesincia, Ysgol Y Gelli, Ysgol Santes Helen and the largest being Ysgol Yr Hendre.
