Carlisle Car Hire
Carlisle is a town in the county of Cumbria, in the North West of England. It lies about ten miles (16km) South of the Scottish border, on the confluenc of Pettoril, Caldew and Eden rivers. Carlisle is a historical city with a cathedral, a museum and a castle. It has been a city since the middle ages, and became a county borough back in nineteen fourteen.
The M6 motorway links the city with Scotland (via M74) and the South of England. Arriva and Stagecoach North west are the two main bus services for Carlisle. The Stagecoach head office for the North West is in the city. Carlisle was famous for it's Textile Mills during the nineteenth and the start of the twentieth centuries.
