Jersey - Channel Island
Jersey is the largest of the Channels islands, and is located off the coast of Normandy. The economy in Jersey is mainly tourism, agriculture and financial services. Tourism supports the service and retail industry as well as holiday rentals and hotels.
Jersey's fast ferry services to the UK and France and over thirty airports with direct flights to the island during the Summer months, are directly attributable to a successful tourism industry.
This social structure which helps the quality of life for the island's residents, by improving the quality of entertainment, attractions and places to dine out.
Back in 2009 more than two hundred and twenty million pounds was spent by visitors to the island, and more than two thirds of these were from the United Kingdom.
Jersey is now an International financial centre, with more than thirty thousand registered business's, and forty five banks.
