London Ilford Car Hire
Ilford is a town located about nine miles (14km) North East of London. The town has two Parliement constituences Ilford North which is made up of Redbridge, Barkingside, Fairlop, Aldborough, Roding, Hainolt, Fullwelland Clayhall. Ilford South includes Cranbrook, Chadwell Newbury, Loxford, Goodmayes, Clementswood, Valentines and Seven Kings.
The North circular road (A406) lies to the West of Ilford. This road and the South circular road make up a ring road through the inner section of outer London. The train station in the town is Ilford Railway Station and lies on the Great Eastern Mainline.
To the North of Ilford is Giants Hill Tube Station, and is served by Central Line, which is part of the London Underground. There are many bus services that run through the town operated by London Bus, with services to surrounding areas and towns as well as central London.
The famous inventor of television (John Logie Baird) lived in Ilford in the nineteen twenties to continue his work on the invention. His workshop was located on the roof of the Plessey building in Ley Street, which was demolished many years ago to make way for new housing.
